About Hami
Purpose
Hami (ICRA, the Independent Consumer Rights Association complaint service) helps shoppers put a purchase problem on record and, where appropriate, raise it with the seller through a controlled process.
Independence
Hami is independent. It is not a court, regulator, government office or law firm, and using it is not legal advice.
How review works
Every request is read by a person. Decisions to accept a request, contact a seller or record an outcome are made by staff, not automatically.
Current status
Hami is currently a small pilot operated from Australia. Access may be paused, limited or ended at any time.
Publication is a separate step
Publishing a case summary is separate from handling a request. It needs a staff proposal and human approval, and it does not happen automatically because a seller did not reply. Publication is currently switched off.
